Installation, refinishing, and repair — from classic oak to exotic species.
Nothing matches the warmth and character of real hardwood floors. Whether you're installing new floors in a modern build or refinishing the original hardwood in a 1920s Oakland Craftsman, we bring the expertise to get it right.
We work with solid hardwood (3/4" planks nailed to wood subfloors) and engineered hardwood (layered construction that handles moisture and concrete slabs). Both options come in a wide range of species, widths, and finishes.
Our refinishing service brings worn, scratched, or discolored floors back to life. We sand down to bare wood, apply your choice of stain, and seal with commercial-grade polyurethane for a finish that lasts a decade or more.
| Service | Price Range |

Hardwood FAQ
Engineered hardwood handles humidity swings better and can be installed over concrete slabs. Solid hardwood is ideal for nailing into wood subfloors and can be refinished more times. We'll recommend the best option based on your subfloor and room conditions.
A typical room (150-200 sq ft) takes 1-2 days. A full home can take 3-5 days. Refinishing adds 2-3 days for sanding, staining, and curing. We'll give you a specific timeline with your quote.
Engineered hardwood can sometimes float over existing hard surfaces. Solid hardwood requires a clean wood subfloor. We always inspect the existing floor and subfloor to determine the best approach.
White oak is the most popular — it's hard, stable, and takes stain beautifully. Red oak, maple, and hickory are also great choices. We carry domestic and exotic species to match any style.
Every 7-10 years for high-traffic areas, 10-15 years for bedrooms. Signs it's time: visible scratches through the finish, dull spots that don't respond to cleaning, or gray/discolored areas. We can assess your floors for free.
